In Pedersen 1980 there are several air force flags with roundels. All have the same pattern; light blue, the national flag in the canton, the air force roundel in the fly. One of them is Jordan.
Mark Sensen, 22 June 1997
The Jordani aircraft marking is a black-white-green roundel with a red sector (about 60 degrees) in top containing the seven-pointed star. A note in Album des Pavillons 2000 explains that the national flag is painted on the fin, with the hoist side towards the front. The data in Cochrane and Elliott 1998 matches with Album des Pavillons 2000, and also claims that these emblems were used in 1949 when the Arab Legion Air Force, later Royal Jordani Air Force, was established and have not been changed since.
